StudioPolar is a new research initiative at Arizona State University. Our areas of focus are the cultural politics of energy and resource development across the Arctic, the interplay of local and trans-local conceptions of knowledge and expertise, environment, questions of voice on environmental assessment, economic sustainability and political processes. Our research methods are based on ethnographic fieldwork and participant observation.
